Crafted in Italy from premium grey waxed Dakar leather, this distinctive version of the Fortress combines contemporary styling with dependable outdoor performance. Its lower-cut, flexible construction provides supportive ankle coverage without the restrictive feel of a heavier trekking boot, making it an excellent choice for regular walks, weekend hikes and everyday outdoor use.
A waterproof and breathable membrane helps keep feet dry while allowing heat and moisture to escape. Waterproof laces and a full bellows tongue provide further protection against rain, mud and loose trail debris.
The abrasion-resistant toe cover protects the leather against scuffs while providing additional reassurance around rocks and roots. At the ankle, a softly padded collar incorporates a cushioned heel and anti-tendonitis slot to reduce pressure around the Achilles. The padded, articulated tongue flexes naturally with the foot for immediate comfort.
A triple-density midsole absorbs impact throughout the walking motion, helping reduce fatigue over longer distances. Beneath it, the flexible Vibram rubber outsole delivers the dependable grip, durability and comfortable walking action needed for varied outdoor terrain.
Two-zone lacing allows the forefoot and ankle to be adjusted separately. Closed metal hooks and an auto-adjusting middle hook help distribute tension evenly, securing the foot without compromising comfort.
