The Everest is built on the same proven foundation as Grisport’s bestselling Dartmoor walking shoe. It combines the familiar waxed-leather appearance, cushioned comfort and rugged Vibram Quantum sole with a higher padded collar, making it an ideal choice for walkers who prefer the additional reassurance of a boot.
The richly waxed Dakar leather upper has minimal stitching, creating a clean, traditional finish while reducing potential weak points where water could enter. A Spo-Tex waterproof and breathable membrane helps keep feet dry while allowing moisture to escape, and the bellows tongue provides further protection against rain, mud and trail debris.
Underfoot, the Vibram 'Quantum' rubber outsole features broad, deeply defined lugs for dependable grip over mixed terrain. Its self-cleaning tread profile is designed to release dried mud more easily, helping the sole maintain effective contact with the ground.
The dual-density polyurethane midsole contains microscopic air bubbles that work like tiny shock absorbers, cushioning walking impact without adding unnecessary weight. Grisport’s torsion-resistant R-System reinforces the arch area, providing greater stability when crossing uneven or broken ground.
A two-zone lacing system allows the forefoot and ankle tension to be adjusted independently, while durable metal hooks and eyelets create a secure fit. The padded collar and tongue cushion the ankle, and the removable ergonomic insole allows space for an alternative footbed or orthotic if required.
