We’re pleased to see two Grisport walking boots featured in recent reviews from Ramblers, with both the Saracen Walking Boot and Dynamic Kids Walking Boot put through their paces.
The footwear was tested by outdoor author, photographer and kit expert Sim Benson, who has more than 15 years’ experience working with, testing and reviewing outdoor equipment.
From all-season performance and underfoot comfort to lightweight flexibility for younger walkers, here’s what stood out.
Saracen: Built for All-Season Walking
Designed for walkers looking for a durable leather boot, the Grisport Saracen was recognised in the review for its combination of comfort, protection and value.
The review highlighted the Saracen’s full-grain leather construction and cutaway sections, designed to help provide comfort straight from the box. Its waterproof membrane and treated leather were also noted for helping keep feet dry when conditions turn wet.
Underfoot, the Saracen’s Vibram® sole was praised for being “durable, cushioned [and] protective”, with good grip across rocky terrain.
The review concluded that the Saracen is:
“A good lower price choice for all-season wear and longer walks with a pack.”
For walkers looking for a dependable boot capable of taking on changing conditions and longer days outdoors, the Saracen offers a strong balance of comfort, protection and grip.
Dynamic: Lightweight Comfort for Younger Walkers
The Grisport Dynamic Kids Walking Boot was also put to the test, with its lightweight and flexible construction making an impression.
The testers particularly liked the feel of the boots, noting that the cushioned, grippy sole has a more flexible, trainer-like feel than many traditional junior walking boots.
This flexibility was highlighted as a benefit for active younger walkers, helping make running easier and keeping them comfortable for longer.
The review also praised the suede upper, waterproof membrane and supportive fit, alongside reflective heel detailing designed to aid visibility.
As the review summed up:
“Our kids liked the feel of these lightweight boots.”
